To mark their 10-year milestone, Roman Survey approached us with the desire to evolve their brand identity—one that better reflected who they are today and where they’re headed.
From the outset, our collaboration focused on understanding the core values that have defined their success: precision, efficiency, and trust. Through strategy workshops and conversations with the leadership team, we uncovered a strong desire for a brand that conveyed professionalism and legacy, while still feeling modern and adaptable for the future.
The Brief
Roman Survey wanted an identity that would:
Reflect their reputation for accuracy and reliability
Acknowledge their name’s inspiration with a subtle Roman influence
Feel clean, confident, and strong—without being overly traditional

The Design Process
We began by exploring geometric forms and motifs rooted in Roman structure and symmetry. The final logo mark brings together the initials R and S, fused into a single, solid monogram that draws inspiration from Roman tiling patterns and architectural geometry. The result is a bold, balanced symbol that communicates strength, structure, and precision—core qualities of Roman Survey’s work in civil engineering.
Typography and a clean, neutral colour palette were chosen to complement the mark, reinforcing the brand’s practical, no-nonsense approach while keeping the identity timeless and versatile.
Bringing the Brand to Life
Once the identity was finalised, we carried it through a range of marketing collateral—business cards, stationery, branded reports, digital templates, and on-site signage—ensuring the brand was consistent, clear, and confidently presented across all touchpoints.
